The 43rd IATEFL Annual International Conference and Exhibition will be in Cardiff 31st March – 4th April, at the City Hall and Museum. It is a great honour for me to have an opportunity to have a talk at this conference as a Turkish English teacher. The name of my session is “ELT Meets the Blogosphere“. I’d like to thank Bill Bowler for his support while I was getting ready to submit my proposal. Also I’d like to thank Haluk Bey (Sengec) from Oxford University Press for his support while I am making my arrangements:))
In my session, I am going to talk about my blog experience with 5th grade students and I believe my session will inspire the teachers who are willing to integrate Web 2.0 tools into their teaching.
I’m planning to share my thoughts, impressions and experience on my blog before, during and after the conference.
“Sharing knowledge is not about giving people something, or getting something from them. That is only valid for information sharing. Sharing knowledge occurs when people are genuinely interested in helping one another develop new capacities for action; it is about creating learning processes.”
