Welcome to my blog!

My name is Burcu Akyol. I live in Istanbul. This is my twelfth year in teaching. At the beginning of my career, I taught adults in a language school. I describe these two years as ‘the years that I learned the most’.

After two-years of experience with adult students, I worked in private schools and taught young learners. Four years ago, my ten-year-old students gave me a very good idea and I started blogging with them. This is how I started using technology in my classes. After that I started this blog and got into Twitter. I met lots of wonderful people and the PLN concept which I think made a big impact on my professional life.

With this blog, I aim to share my reflections and insights about teaching, technology, and life. I will also share practical tips and resources that I think can be useful for educators.
